About a year ago, Alan and I decided to rent a little studio on the next block over for the sole/soul purpose of following our art. You might find me holing up there on a Friday night, writing songs or working on my latest book or essay. Today, it makes me so happy to see Alan deep in the zone, diving into assemblage, an art form he’s been working with most of his life. If you want to see some beautiful examples of this three-dimensional medium that draws upon found objects, look up Joseph Cornell. Also, Deg wasn’t feeling well, so he’s home from school, offering his dad moral support.
